Health Insurance Benefits

Your health insurance company will only pay for services that it determines to be “reasonable and necessary” or “usual and customary”. Our office will make every effort to bill your insurance in a timely manner. If your carrier determines that a particular service is not reasonable and necessary, or that a particular service is not covered under the policy or plan, your insurer will deny payment for that service and it will become your responsibility. We will balance bill you for remaining amounts due beyond insurance coverage.

We strongly recommend that you be familiar with and verify your benefits with your insurance company prior to your services at Global Prosthetics. Please be aware that even then, it is still not a guarantee of benefits or payments.

Prosthetic eyes being considered Durable Medical Equipment puts our procedures in a different insurance category than normal physician office visits. If you have any questions as to what to ask your insurance company, please call our office.
